According to reports, Akua Donkor died at the Ridge Hospital in Accra where she was on admission. The cause of her death is unknown as of this publication as her family are yet to make any official statement.
She died at the age of 72. Akua Donkor was born in February 1952 and hails from Afigya Kwabre District in the Ashanti Region.
She became a household name in 2012 after she applied to contest to become the President of Ghana. Her passing marks the end of a unique chapter in Ghanaian politics
