Chyef-Augustine, affectionately known as “The Philosopher,” was born on May 25, 1984, in Kumasi and hails from Denase in the Ashanti Region.
This fitting nickname was given to him by a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) during a group presentation. Impressed by Augustine’s insightful and Socratic style of thinking, the lecturer remarked that he “thinks deeply like a philosopher, like Socrates,” and the title has followed him ever since, marking his reflective nature and philosophical mindset.
A multifaceted Ghanaian author, music artist, and educator, Chyef-Augustine has significantly impacted science education, literature, and music. His academic journey began at UCC, where he studied Biological Sciences, and continued at the University of Education, Winneba, where he earned a Diploma in Education.
Since 2008, he has dedicated himself to teaching as an Elective Biology Tutor at Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School, known for his ability to simplify complex biology concepts, inspiring numerous students in their academic pursuits.
