Kojo Antwi Says He Will Never Perform At The National Theatre Again: Legendary Ghanaian Highlife singer and songwriter, Julius Kojo Antwi, widely known as ‘Mr. Music Man’ has recently vowed never to grace the stage of the National Theatre again.

Speaking in an interview with Onua TV’s Nana Adwoa Annan, the ‘’Afafranto’’ hitmaker asserted that the National Theatre, which was once a perfect fit for his early career, no longer aligns with his artistic aspirations.

He detailed that the multi-functional venue has fallen short of a theatre, emphasizing that maintaining the place has become difficult for those who are handling it. The multiple award-winning crooners further averred that the place has become so deteriorated that he can never grace its stage.

”The place has fallen short of a theatre…maintaining the place has become difficult for those who are handling the theatre…as the artiste that I am… I realized that the place wasn’t helping me. An artiste doesn’t belong to a hall that the place has become,” he said.

Mr Music Man to a greater extent reminisced about the intimate charm of the National Theatre in his early days but emphasized that his evolution as a performer necessitated a grander platform.
