BHIM Nation president, Stonebwoy has initiated legal proceedings against Baba Sadiq, an aspiring politician and entertainment critic, for remarks made on the X platform (formerly Twitter).

On May 31, 2024, Stonebwoy, the current Ghanaian Artist of the Year, lodged a legal petition with the High Court of Justice, demanding that Baba Sadiq delete the contentious tweets and issue a sincere apology.

Additionally, Stonebwoy is seeking GHS 3 million in damages from the court, attributing the harm to his reputation to Baba Sadiq’s deliberate and malicious intent to defame him with false statements.

Observers familiar with the circumstances of the tweets are unsurprised by the lawsuit. Social media commentators had previously voiced apprehension over Stonebwoy’s choice to overlook Sadiq’s troubling remarks, implying allegations of violent behavior towards women.

The viral comments sparked intense debates among both fans and the wider community, particularly because of Stonebwoy’s extensive history of advocating for women’s rights and leading numerous charitable initiatives aimed at empowering women.

The document affirms the Ghanaian figure’s dedication to safeguarding his well-established reputation, showcasing his willingness to utilize legal channels to uphold his rights.
